Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! The girls have anxiously been waiting to dress up as ladybugs for Halloween. Natalie loves polka dots, so her costume was an easy pick for her! Here is a family photo taken by our wonderful neighbors, the Kinlocks. You can also see our little tiger, who walked right in and made himself home at our neighbors.

We had several pumpkins and fixtures out on our front porch, and, as always, Will is willing to pitch in and help set them up.

Listen closely, and you can hear Natalie and Amanda say, "Come on Mom, enough with the pictures, let's go trick or treat!"

"We are still not done yet?"

Here is the trio as we are ready to head out!

Look at me...I'm a ladybug!

Mom, how does this look?

Isn't Will the cutest! Rooaaaaarrrrr!

Boo!

Once we arrived home, we had to try some of the new treats found in our bag. Here is Natalie enjoying a tootsie pop.

Look quick, Amanda has a Reese's Cup that she made vanish with the stroke of one hand! That girl LOVES her chocolate!

All About Will

Since Natalie and Amanda had the post all to themselves on Friday, here are some cool pics of our little man, Will! He looks so grown up these days, and although his verbal skills are still developing, his understanding of what we say is huge! Here is a serious pose.

Will loves to give out kisses now. He is also becoming more engaged with books, using all toys as hammers, hugging his sisters and getting into all kinds of mischief! Here is a photo of a calm Will with Dad drawing on the Etch a Sketch.

Last week Will started to show off this new Scrunchy-Nosed Smile. It only took hundreds of photos to finally capture his silliness! I think this smile runs in the family....see the photo here of Amanda around the same age (see the 4th photo down). And, of course, Amanda often still flashes that same smile now.

Speaking of silliness, check this facial expression out!

Will has had a terrible time with teething. He had his front four teeth come in at an early age, and with each series of tooth development, he seems to get them all at the same time. Below is a photo of his molars now all coming in at the same time. Ouch!

Picture Day

Tuesday was picture day at the girls' school. Here is a sneak preview of what they wore. (Note: these were taken at the end of the day; they did look a little more neat in the morning....) We can't wait to see how they turn out!

A little sister love. Awww!

Miss Amanda showing off her ladybug dress. (Natalie would not model for a photo....)

The Little Man

Will is a very busy boy these days. He is now a little man on the go since he's walking so well. It makes it more difficult to get a picture....unless you like looking at the back of his head!

He also chats up a storm. So far, however, the only words we can understand are "ma ma", "hi", and "bye". But there are so many words packed in his speech I'm sure we'll figure out the rest of them soon! Here he is, chatting our ears off....we can't wait to hear what you have to say little man!

Eating Strawberries on the Front Porch

One of the great things about living in Sacramento is the amazing produce available to us. As we have mentioned before, Dad takes a trip to the farmer's market every Saturday or Sunday and one of the must-have purchases each week is strawberries. Although it is October now, we still have incredibly yummy strawberries. This Sunday, the kids enjoyed theirs on the front porch.....

You know it's fall when.....

You take a trip to the pumpkin patch! Where you get to jump in the hale bales....

and sit on top of the world.....

and watch some pigs race!

Oh, and of course, there are pumpkins involved.

And at this pumpkin patch, there was a clown who made Amanda a turtle bracelet out of balloons.

And Natalie selected a ladybug.

To wrap up the day, we all went for a walk on the Sunflower Trail.

It was a great day!
