Winter Fun

After Christmas, we headed to Tahoe for a few days of fun in the snow. It took us quite awhile to get appropriately bundled up, but it was worth it as everyone had fun tubing and sledding! Here are the troops chilling out on a bench. (Despite Natalie's pout below, she really did have fun.)

We were also lucky enough to get a family photo taken.

Later, the sun came out and we were able to shed a few layers and have more fun. Will thought it was great!

Natalie contemplated whether it might snow.

And here. she provided proof that she really did have fun. While it took a bit to get her to sled and tube, she eventually decided that it was fun. But, clearly, her favorite part was the hot chocolate!

Amanda, on the other hand, loved sledding and tubing right from the start. She needed no coaxing to head down the hill.

We Wish You A Merry Christmas....

We had a wonderful Christmas at our house and we hope you all did too. Natalie and Amanda are just starting to figure it all out, but the one thing they clearly understood was PRESENTS! We had several arrive by our friendly brown truck company, and with each one, Natalie just knew the delivery was for her. One of the deliveries contained these wonderful ornaments personalized for each of the kids. We let them open this present and their Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve.

Here is a picture of Will opening up his ornament. He did a good job with the presents too, only needing a little assistance from mom and dad.

Everyone put their new ornament on the tree.

And then they all played with the bubble wrap! Who doesn't remember how much fun popping bubble wrap can be?

On Christmas Day, the kids checked their stockings before breakfast (and before all the present opening chaos).

Amanda was happy!

Here, Natalie is eating one of her chocolate coins and modeling her candy lip gloss!

Did someone find some candy canes in their stocking!

After breakfast, we moved into a frenzied present-opening mode. Here is elf Amanda opening a present.

Will in a quiet moment.

And Natalie staling a glimpse across the room at one of her siblings opening a present.

Later, Will did the happy dance.

Everyone did some puzzles.

And the living room became quite chaotic. See for yourself!

Weekly Report

It was a busy week, as usual. Mom was away and dad snapped a few photos with the camera on his phone. One in particular stands out. This is a picture of one of our little angels, Natalie, with a beautiful halo atop her head!

One evening over the weekend, we attended a great holiday party where the kids thoroughly enjoyed playing with the toys of others. Will enjoyed reading with mom.

But he liked the superstar glasses even more!

We also played dress up.....

got tattooed....

and got some cleaning in. These kids are such big helpers!

We hope you all had a great week too!

Dancing Will

This boy loves to dance. The second he hears any music he starts breaking out some of his moves. It gives us many opportunities to smile every single day!

Holiday Tea & Sing

The girls were scheduled to give their first school performance on Friday night -- a Holiday Tea and Sing. We were looking forward to hearing some Christmas carols as we frequently heard little snippets at home so we had a small taste of what was to come. And we received the picture below from school of the preschoolers singing to the toddler classes. Natalie and Amanda are on the far left in matching outfits.

Unfortunately, however, both girls were struck with a major case of stage fright on the big night and did not actually make it up to the stage. They sang quietly from the audience instead while sitting on our laps. They did enjoy some cookies after the performance was over, however.

Their classmates did a great job belting out the tunes. Here they are singing Jingle Bells.

New Fashion Trend?

Natalie must know about a new fashion trend. Here she is with her pants on backwards. It's quite the look. One you can get away with when you don't have much of a bottom!

The Weekly Report

This is my favorite photo from the week. What big kids we have all of a sudden. Everyone can sit at the table and have some lunch -- with smiles even!

And speaking of big kids, here are all three again playing in the sink on the kitchen island. They had a blast (and luckily for us, didn't get everything too wet).

In preparation for Christmas, we played some reindeer games this week....

And we baked some cookies.

We hope you all had a good week too!
