Rainy Weekend

It was a rainy day weekend and Dad and the kids had to make fun while Mom was away on business travel. Here is a photo of our Lil Pirate Will watching his sisters become strange creatures. As you can tell from his expression, he does not know what to make of them!

Both Natalie and Amanda's imaginations have blossomed. Here are several photos of them being Puppy Dog Bumble Bee Ballerinas with a Tiger's Roar! Watch out, they are coming to a Zoo near you!

Here Amanda is gentle as a kitty...Meow!

Will, who tries to do everything like his sisters, pretends to be the golfer (in the back ground on TV) who just missed his putt for Birdie.

Everyone missed Mom greatly during her travels. Below, Will calls Mommy on his cell phone, but just can't seem to get a signal! However, it seemed to work anyway as Mom arrived home shortly after Will made his call.

Ring Around The Rosie

Will learned how to do Ring Around the Rosie and now he wants to do it all the time! The girls have fun indulging him.

It reminds me of when the girls first learned Ring Around the Rosie, which was in September 2009. My how time flies! You can see it here.

Fun Time with Play-Doh

It is so fun to see all the kids play together. In addition to "Ring Around the Rosie," playing with Play-Doh is another favorite. Not to be left out, Will jumps right sculpt his masterpice in the Play-Doh Fun Foods Kit. Although, we do have to keep a close watch as Will will take a bite out of the little orange carrots made by Natalie and Amanda! ;-)

Sunday Morning

Sunday morning at our house often looks like this. Today, the kids helped dad make some biscuits, which we ate with country ham, a southern thing! Yummy!

Weekend Fun

It has been cold and wet here lately so we have been searching out fun indoor activities for the kids on the weekends. We had a great time at Wacky Tacky -- we loved this place because they had something for all three of our kids to do. (All pictures on this post are from our phones -- sorry for the poor picture quality.)

Here is mom and all of the kids in the ball pit area. The kids were watching the older kids shoot the balls from the air guns up above. We learned how to do that too!

There were so many areas for the kids to climb and jump. Here is Natalie in action.

And Amanda.

The slide was clearly the most fun part for the girls. Mom went down once with Will and was surprised at how FAST it was! But not too fast for these little speed demons!

While sliding, Natalie and Amanda made a friend. They went down the slide just like this several times!

Here Amanda takes a little breather.

I'm not sure their smiles get any bigger than this!

The next weekend, when it was still REALLY cold, we went to Art Beast. We love that place because it also has something for all of our kids to do.

Here are Natalie and Amanda about to blast off in the space ship.

Will played inside the tin can castle.

All of the kids spent quite a bit of time playing with the moon sand at this little table.

Later the girls had fun tumbling.

While Will ran up and down the ramp (and up and down and up and down and up and down!).

Later, he pounded out a few tunes on the piano.

This last weekend was just a little warmer so we headed to the farmer's market on Saturday. The girls had great fun at the playground.

And they loved riding on this little merry-go-round.

And Will enjoyed just hanging out.

We hope your weekends have been fun and warm!

Happy Birthday Natalie and Amanda

Natalie and Amanda turned 3 on Monday, which was also the day they returned to school after their Winter Break. They were excited to go back to school since they got to have a "birthday circle" that day. For the birthday circle, we made posters with pictures of each stage of their lives thus far. The girls helped us decorate them once we had the pictures in place.

Here is Natalie's poster.

And Amanda's.

As the birthday honorees, Natalie and Amanda got to sit in chairs while all of their little friends formed a circle on the floor.

Then, their teacher lit a candle and offered them a small globe, which they carried around the circle 3 times, one for each year of their lives.

After completing each circle, they placed one flower in the vase.

After they were all done, they got to make a wish and blow out the candle.

And then we had a yummy treat of muffins and yogurt.

Later that night, we celebrated with chocolate cupcakes. Here are the girls anxiously awaiting the arrival of those cupcakes.

And getting ready to blow out the candles.....

....there they go!

Later, we opened a few presents.

And wore these fun tutus.

Not to be forgotten, Will was part of the action too!

We saved some presents for opening on another day. Here are the girls opening up some new baby dolls. They were very busy for quite some time thereafter giving their babies a bath and changing their diapers.

Will had to help Amanda with the opening.

And here are the girls doing a little sit n spin.
