Fish Hatchery

We recently had a really fun trip recently to the local fish hatchery.  It was a beautiful sunny day and the fish were jumping hungry!  Food dispensers were stationed at the end of each pond so we started off feeding the fish.  The were very excited to see us, take our food and dance on top of the water in payment.  Will takes a handful to see just how many he can attract!

Amanda takes a more conservative approach and feeds them one pellet at at time.

Natalie is having a blast watching all the fish jump and being able to touch the cold cold water!  Brrr!

Amanda decides to join for a nice photo!

After feeding the fish, we ventured inside where Natalie posed with the giant red fish.

And all of the kids had fun sitting in the gigantic fish eggs.

Mom, I'm a guppy!

Amanda asks, "Are the eggs really this big?"

Back outside, we had great fun sitting inside this gigantic fish.  Will is about to be gobbled up!

Next is Amanda taking on the vicious jaws!

Hey, these are not scary!

Being swallowed by the big fish, Amanda found herself inside the belly of the big beast.

After the fish hatchery, we went to one of our favorite toy stores where the kids traded in nearly all of their Halloween candy (and I mean a lot of candy) for a toy of their choice.  Natalie and Amanda liked this little house inside the store.

We then left and had a very yummy lunch at a fine local eatery.  Outside this restaurant are some cool life-like sculptures.  Natalie and Amanda decided to pose with the artwork!

Finally, we were home and little Sam, the nanny's dog, was very happy to see us.  She loves Will, in particular!  Here she greets him with many sloppy kisses!

And then Sam poses for a photo with Natalie.

We chuckle all the time about how we now have a gigantic dog and a miniature dog living at our house now.  Here is our effort to capture the irony!

Twins Plus One

Every once in awhile, Natalie and Amanda have great fun dressing like twins and they make sure every last detail is matching.  They recently decided to dress alike and when it was time to capture it with photos, Will joined in for some cute pictures of all three kiddos.

Halloween!!!

After a month of parties, dress up, pumpkin patch visits and scary stories, Halloween finally arrived!  Natalie, Amanda and Will each were able to search the Internet and select their own personal favorite face for their very own pumpkin selected from the pumpkin patch trip.  This made the pumpkin carving event even more thrilling and all were very excited to help Dad carve their masterpiece.  We started by cutting out the top, then scraping the insides.

Natalie was very pleased with the progress being made on her pumpkin.

She jumps up for a closer look!  She selected a face found on more traditional pumpkins.

Dad has so many helpers!

Amanda shows off her special crescent moon and stars pumpkin!

Everyone took a turn placing their pumpkin on the front porch, and Will and Amanda were kind enough to take time to pose for a quick photo.  Will is sitting behind his special pumpkin... a Star Wars Storm Trooper motif...what could be scarier!

"Help, I am trapped in this spider web!"

Our nanny, Sara, has a new puppy named Sam.  Sam is dressed in her festive pumpkin outfit while sitting on Will's lap.  Will absolutely loves this dog, and Sam loves Will equally as well.  They seem made for each other as their physical size are a perfect match!  Needless to say, they have become best friends!

Speaking about festive outfits....bring out the costumes!  Natalie is fairy Rosetta, one of Tinkerbell's friends.   Mom tried her hand at face painting and it came out okay!  (All the other parents though it was professionally done, so way to go Mom!)

Natalie was having a lot of fun posing.  "How do I look at this angle?"

Or this angle...what a pose!

Another glamour shot!

Next up is Mr. Sharpie Man!  (A.K.A Wolverine)

Check out my superhero moves!  Hiya!

And here is our Beautiful Minnie Mouse, Amanda!  Ms. Amanda is sporting a wonderful red tutu with white polka dots, mouse ears with a red and white polka dot headband, reddish hair, long black eyelashes and a sweet black nose!

"I'm ready to go trick or treating!"

A final pose together before we head out to with our friends

We arrived at our friends' house to find all the girl friends have already arrived. We quickly snapped a photo of all of the cute little girls.  (Will was having a great time playing in our friends' play room!)

Trick or Treating was fun for everyone, so much yummy candy!

"Trick or Treat!"

At one of the homes we visited, even the dogs had costumes!  Here is Superman ready to save the day!

Will was so excited to find a super sized Snickers bar in his candy bag.  Before I could turn around, this boy ate the whole thing in 2 bites!

Each week the kids bring home artwork from their school, and this week was no exception.  However, this pumpkin still life came home in a frame!  Natalie drew and painted this pumpkin scene, and we love everything about the colors and subject.  It seems beyond Natalie's years, but she insists she did it all by herself.  It will be up for auction at Christies next month...save your money!

Happy Halloween!
