The Weigh In and Weekend Adventures
We had a doctor's appointment on Monday and the girls had their big weigh in. Drum roll......Amanda has nearly caught up to Natalie. Here are the stats: Natalie weighs 17 lbs 2 oz (12th percentile) and is 29" tall (80th percentile....she's a tall, thin girl) and Amanda weighs 17 lbs 1 oz (11th percentile) and is 28.5" tall (65th percentile).
This weekend, we had tons of fun with our very mobile little girls! These next few photos reminded me of the "Whack-A-Mole" game you play at the fair. They were both at the table at the same time looking out the window so I thought I would snap a picture when they were BOTH standing up at the same time. But, as usual, it didn't work out that way! Instead, they took turns popping up and down. First Amanda, then Natalie!

10 Months Old!!
Natalie and Amanda are 10 months old! It has been a big month in terms of development. Amanda was starting to crawl last month but has turned into a little speed demon now. And what is particularly funny is how proud she seems to be of herself while prancing throughout the house! Natalie was content to watch for awhile but had to join in the fun about a week ago. Before that she maneuvered around by scooting and rolling but now she's got crawling down too. But her passion is really standing. She spends A LOT of time standing up and cruising around on the furniture.
Both girls are more verbal these days and it is clear that they are really trying to tell us something on occasion. They also talk to each other quite a bit. My favorite communication though is their singing. They just love Baby Einstein videos and one of their favorite videos has some little girls singing the A, B, C Song. After watching it enough times, when those little girls come on the screen now, Natalie and Amanda just launch into their own version of the song. And, if we're lucky enough they will also sing for us when we decide to do our own rendition.
Over the weekend, Amanda also started clapping and is quite proud of herself! Here she is demonstrating this new skill:
