Little Shoppers

The girls and Will had so much fun shopping at the kiddie section of a local market. They filled up their baskets with lots of fruits and vegetables and then carried them to the checkout!

The "palm tree" hair dos were specifically requested by the girls!

After we did our shopping, we stayed and had a yummy dinner. Pizza for the girls followed by a "cookie" bar.

Will had fun too. He's been a little fussy these days because he's getting in some new teeth and has another cold. But, he devoured his dinner while we were out. It's good to have a change of scenery!

Come Fly Away

Last weekend, we took a "field trip" to the executive airport, which is only about a half mile from our house. While we regularly see the planes flying overhead we have not previously had the opportunity to see the up close and personal. It was a nice day so we were able to sit outside, which meant the girls and Will could run/crawl around without bothering anybody (a real bonus in this particular instance because a party of about 50 people arrived right before we did so our service was painfully slow). Natalie and Amanda pulled some chairs up to the wall so they could see the planes coming in and out.

Given how slow the service was, we were "lucky" enough to see many planes take off and land, including the one in the pictures, which belonged to a very nice retired couple who were flying from their winter home in Mexico to their regular home in Oregon, along with their nice dog, Angus!

They were even nice enough to offer to take our picture. The only way we could get everyone looking at the camera at the same time was to point at the airplanes! There they are!!

Here is the little guy too, trying to be like the big kids and showing that he had a great time on our field trip!

Extra Sunday Coverage of Will

Earlier this week we captured Will on video playing with Daddy, "talking," crawling around and flashing lots of smiles.

Will is all over the place these days and I must say, a very quick study. It only took one instruction (and some period of observation) and he was quicly climbing the stairs. Here is Will climbing up the stairs to see Mommy as she arrives home from work. He is also starting to go down the stairs, but that is a little less graceful and it is mostly on his belly!

A Saturday Afternoon Picnic

We had a really nice picnic yesterday at the local winery. The sun was behind some big clouds when we first got there so it was a bit chilly but soon thereafter the sun came out and everyone had a great time.

Here we are chowing down on some yummy food:

Will loved crawling around in the grass and trying to eat the bark off the trees.....

And the girls had so much fun running around, playing in the trees and throwing and kicking balls around. Here is Amanda:

Will is Ninth Months Old

Will had his 9 month birthday this week and we are headed to the doctor on Monday for his check up and weigh in. He had a good month. He is standing now and just recently started furniture cruising. He has a new fascination with his tongue and he sticks it out ALL THE TIME! He also waves hello and bye-bye now in response to someone waving at him.....so cute!

Here he is sticking his tongue out at a tree:

We had 9-month photos taken last weekend and he just looked adorable in this outfit:

Here he is with his new hat. We had to buy the kind with a chin strap because he refuses to keep a hat on his head now.

And here he is just being his cute and happy self!

Happy Birthday, buddy!

Rock Band

This is what Rock Band looks like at our house. Here is Will singing lead with his hairbrush microphone and Natalie and Amanda are backing him up.

Here is Rock Star Natalie having a solo moment.

And Rock Star Amanda posing for the camera, as always!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to our mothers/grandmothers, to our sisters and to all of our dear friends! We hope that you are all having a wonderful day and that you have at least 5 minutes (and hopefully more!) to do exactly what you want to do today! Check out this photo of all of us that we managed to get with the automatic timer on our camera after we came home from a yummy lunch outing!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

Daddy's company had an outing at Raley Field tonight to watch the Rivercats play. It was the first baseball game for the girls and Will and they all had a great time as you can see from the big smiles below. The girls loved eating hot dogs and potato chips (especially the chips) and Will loved meeting so many new people. We didn't make it to the 7th inning to sing Take Me Out To the Ballgame, but we did stay late and everybody was on their best behavior!

A Fun Visit

Mommy's second cousin, Carol, stopped by today for a visit. The girls warmed up quickly and a good time was had by all. Here are a few pictures of the girls giving some love.

Will napped during much of Carol's visit (due to being up for several hours the evening before....likely due to teething (sigh)), but he did wake up in time to say hello. We did not get any photos though because he is fully into the separation anxiety stage now and immediately starts to cry when someone new picks him up. But, alas, here is a recent photo of him showing off his new front teeth! (And more have just broken through so they should be all the way in shortly.....)

Thanks, Carol, for spending time with us! We loved having you and are so thrilled you got to meet all of the kids!! :)
