Super Tired

It seems like we are always on the go and it can definitely be exhausting. One weekend day recently, Will was so tired that he fell asleep while he was eating his dinner! But if you were to ask him if he was tired or if he needs a nap, the answer would have definitely been a resounding NO!

Picnic Time

We had a really fun picnic at Bogle Winery last weekend.  The grapes are on the vines and getting sweet in the hot summer sun.

And the scenery here is always fantastic and it allows those with mediocre photo taking skills to get some good shots.

Everyone took turns doing some posing.

The posing turned silly at one point, started by Will, of course!

But, even Amanda had to get into the action.

Will, always the boy, had a great time with the giant sticks.

And Natalie was delighted to find this on the barrels!

Silliness

We bought a new Mac computer a few months ago and Mom has not really learned how to use it yet. But Mom and the kids did discover that the photo booth feature on the Mac is more robust than it is on the phone or iPad. We all laughed so hard during this impromptu photo session!

Here we are as silly aliens, some of us with bandannas on our heads!

In a pop art collage.

Thermal art.

An x-ray.

A mirror image of all of us (you can barely see Amanda but she is there).

We're all twirled together here.

And this is the one where I asked the kids to look nice and not be crazy.  Oh well...one-third of the kids listening is pretty good!

Happy Fourth of July

We had so much fun over our long Fourth of July holiday that we are all sad about having to go back to work and school! Anyone else feel the same??  We did a ton of swimming thanks to the extremely hot weather and we also had very fun outings with our friends.

On the Fourth, we skipped the parade this year due to the heat, but we had a great time at a neighborhood block party.  Everyone was styling in their patriotic clothes as we headed out for some yummy hot dogs, hamburgers and really fun fireworks.

A good time was had by all.  We definitely stayed up too late, but it was fun, fun, fun!

A Fantastic Father's Day

Okay, then, enough about Disneyland and back to real life. We've got a little catching up to do here.....

We had a fantastic Father's Day full of fun and terrific food! We started off the day with some memorable doughnuts from a relatively new doughnut shop that specializes in some eclectic doughnuts, like these yummy S'More doughnuts that the kids thought were terrific.

Dad also enjoyed the doughnuts, especially the maple bacon one (pictured below, however is maple bacon bread pudding....round number two for Dad!)

We gave Dad some great gifts.

He especially liked his new apron designed especially for him.

And he was quite pleased with some Memphis barbecue!

Before heading out for more food, we posed for our annual Father's Day photo.  Everyone was pretty happy.....phew!

And then we ate some more yummy food at one of our favorite local restaurants.  You can tell that Amanda thought her brunch was terrific!

Will, on the other hand, did not want us to take his picture at that moment!  Oh well!

Later, however, he was happy to pose in this comfy, cozy chair.

It was a really fun day and we were happy to honor our wonderful Dad!
