More Memorial Day Weekend Fun

The rest of Memorial Day weekend was fun too. We visited the Sacramento County Fair, where we ate some corn dogs and rode some fun rides.  First up was the mini roller coaster.

And then a dragon spinny ride -- like the teacups at Disney.  We did a lot of spinning and a lot of laughing!

We also hung out in our yard.  We got to see some bees in action in our magnolia tree.

Amanda was excited to see them.

We climbed in the tree in the front of our house,

picked some tiny little flowers,

daydreamed

and lined up for a mug shot with all three.

More daydreaming....

and then some hanging like monkeys from the magnolia tree.

Our neighbor popped over while we were out front and insisted that Mom get into a few shots.  We had a lot of fun with these ones!

Movie star Natalie!

We had our neighbors over for a BBQ on Sunday night.  I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it about a million more times: we are so fortunate to have such wonderful neighbors!  We had a great time -- so great that I was remiss in capturing shots of everyone.  But I got a few of Sean entertaining the kids!

It's amazing how much more fun you can pack into a three-day weekend!  We hope yours was fabulous too!

A Wonderful Memorial Day

We were overdue on pick up at the winery up in the hills so we made the trek up there on Memorial Day. It was a beautiful day and the location is great for the kids.  They "fed" the crane some mushrooms they picked from the grass.

And gave it a few kisses too.

They posed for some cute pictures.  And in this one, you can see a butterfly decided to join the girls in the photo (look just to the right of Natalie's head.)

Amanda helped Will walk over a little foot bridge over the stream.

And then Will and Dad posed for picture on the bench.

More posing.  (Not quite sure what to say about Natalie's new "bangs" other than she decided to give herself a little trim....right after we finally got the bangs completely grown out!)

That face looks like trouble to me!

We got some great shots with the kids sitting in the trees.  This is such a beautiful spot.

Oh, and while we were inside the kids decided to sign up for the wine club.  Here they are filling out all of their info!

Back to looking cute.....

And doing a little "fishing" with the reeds.

More poses.  A serious look from Amanda on this one (but a big smile below).

Hard at Work

The kids are all learning so fast. They soak up information like little sponges. It's amazing to us. Here is a photo of Will working hard at school.

Natalie and Amanda are also doing amazing things at school.  They are now learning how to read and write.  It's fun to watch.  They also both love to do art.  Natalie really likes to take stickers and make a pattern with them.  Here is an example (we shaded out our last name).

And here is one of Amanda's great work.  Mom helped with the lettering since we did it with glue and stickers, but they both do a great job writing their names.
