Disneyland: Day One

As we mentioned in the last post, we had a wonderful trip to Disneyland. We spent three days in the park: two at Disneyland and one at California Adventure. And we have a ton of pictures to prove it so we're dividing them up day by day.

First up, day one. We stayed at one of the Disneyland hotels, so we got early entry into the parks. That makes a huge difference as you can quickly knock out several rides before the lines become crazy.   Our first ride was the Nemo submarine ride.  Here is a shot of Mom and Will taking in the view of the sea.

Here is the dreaded Darla from Nemo.

And the scary scuba diver who captured little Nemo.

That was fun!  What's up next?  These are some big smiles so it must be a good one....

It's a Small World!  Mom's favorite!!!

Followed by a ride in the Storyland boats.

The best ride of all, in Will's opinion, was the Buzz Lightyear ride where you got to shoot at the bad guys!

After knocking out those rides first thing, we stopped for a little snack.

And then had a late breakfast with Minnie Mouse and all of her friends.....including this guy named Max.  Who is Max??

Chip and Dale were there.

We then had a very entertaining visit from Captain Hook.

He loves to pose!

And scratch his hook on the window.

We got big hugs from Eeyore.

And this scary-looking guy.

And then Winnie the Pooh.

And Tigger too!

Minnie spent a lot of time visiting with us.

We also saw Pinocchio.  He told us the truth the whole time!

And then we were lucky enough to have everyone come back over for more hugs and a big group picture.

Mom got a kiss from Pooh!

In the afternoon, we headed to Toon Town.  The kids check out the fish tank gas pumps.

Here they are waiting in line for a really fun roller coaster.

And then we stopped by to see if Mickey was home.  Amanda sat in his chair.

And Pluto's bed.

The washing machine is running....that must mean he's home!

We played a few tunes while trying to find Mickey.

And then we finally found him in his movie studio.  Yay!

After saying goodbye to Mickey, Will takes a spin in his car.

While Natalie contemplates setting off some fireworks.

And then Will climbs a lamp post.

It was a jam-packed and fun-filled day!
