Pumpkin Patch Trip

Every year we always make a visit to one of our local pumpkin patch farms.  And this year was no exception.  However, we did find a new spot farm just south of our house, that turned out to be very family friendly.  There were may fun activities and the kids had lots of fun seeing all the hay bales, goats, barnyard animals…and yes, selecting a pumpkin to take home for painting!  It was another beautiful fall day and the kids were somewhat accommodating to photos.  Here, two of three were able to demonstrate their beautiful smiles.

The floating pumpkin at Fog Hollow!

Here the donkey, chicken and the goat don't know which way to look!

Here is another attempt at a kid photo…everyone is getting a little closer to a real smile.

Since photos are so painful, we decided to let them make funny faces…Pretty Funny!

Here is a very nice portrait of Natalie sitting on the pumpkin wagon nest to the willow pond.

Next is Will's turn, but he is not ready to show is teeth!

Another attempt at a kid photo, take 500.

Next came the petting zoo with feed dispenses to make these goats even fatter!  Will and Amanda tempt the wild beast with some corn and oats.

Next is Natalie, braving the ravenous goats!

Amanda found this goat in the corner all by herself and thought she would make a friend.

Next, we are off to select some nice kid sized pumpkins.  Natalie found her two!

Amanda really likes the one she found!

Natalie could not decide and found two more just perfect for our front porch.

"So many choices….what am I to do", says Amanda!

They even have a Holstein cow train!

Tucked in the back corner were the barn yard anaimals…Natalie found this very large pig sleeping and said, "Hey, that pig snores just like Dad!"

Will found this great pumpkin and pretended it was a bouncy ball!

Next was the playground...what kid would not have fun here!

The kids are trapped in Iron Man's steel tube and are finding their way out!

Hey Mom and Dad, we are almost out!

Will manages to escape and scale the outside perimeter!

Whew!  That was a lot of fun and hard work!  On our way out, the kids stopped to select a few pumpkins to bring home for decoration.  Will really likes the orange and white miniature pumpkins.

Amanda looks, again, not sure which one to pick!

No, wait, I think I like this one!

Finally, white pumpkins for all!  The will make a great canvas for some creative artwork!

At the end of the day, the little white pumpkins turned into these beautiful masterpieces!
